End of a Long Day

Yesterday at my hospital newborn job I had 10 babies to photograph. Typically I only have around 5. Needless to say, it was a long day. After work I rushed home to change out of my beautiful purple smock (gag), eat something and then drive to a newborn session for my own business. Two + hours later, driving home, exhausted, hungry, and missing my family, I couldn't help but notice the beautiful sky, in various shades of blue. It was so moody, so vibrant, I instantly got the urge to document it. Luckily, I actually had my camera. So as soon as I got off the freeway, I sped to the closest wide open area and started shooting. I had lost a lot of light in a short amount of time, so I cranked up my ISO to 6400. Beautiful grain. Not perfect, but my first attempt at expressing my latent creativity. :)

Hey Emily-

Those pictures are fabulous. What hospital do you take these newborn pictures at? You might be running into me come August.

I really need to take some (not hospital) pictures of my two kids after this new little one comes...
