Burano, Italy

The second morning in Venice we caught a boat out to the islands of Burano and Murano. Burano is famous for it's lace and colorful buildings, and Murano is renowned for it's glass. It was fun hanging out on these islands, although my photographic creativity was running low. Having spent so many days with a 12+ pound camera constantly pulling on your neck can wear a person out. (or maybe I am just a wimp.) These images are from Burano only, because I was too busy shopping for glass jewelry to be bothered to take too many photos on Murano. :)

Oh my goodness! These are so incredible! I'm jealous!
Isn't it such a curse sometimes to feel that we can't leave home without the camera. The only thing worse is leaving home without the camera and not being able to capture those wonderful images.
You are an inspiration to me.

After such a nice comment from you on my blog today I had to see what yours was. I was blown away! Burano has to be one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited and these photos totally do it justice.
