We left Florence after breakfast and drove through the country to Siena where we'd be staying for the next 4 nights. This wonderfully charming castle/farmhouse was set on a hillside with an amazing overlook of some countryside. It was built in the 15th century, and while we had to share bathrooms and go without room service, the serenity and beauty of the place more than made up for it. Just wandering around the grounds I could feel all the stress and uptightness I keep with me melt away.
(This was the bedroom I stayed in. I miss that pink striped chair.)
We had a wonderful dinner here, as well as some photo presentations.
